Writing and performing your wedding speech can be a challenging task. This quick checklist will ensure that you include the most important aspects in your speech and presentation.

1. It is important that you get into the right mood before beginning your speech writing or buying groomsmen gifts. A good idea is to watch a few wedding movies, in order to get into the spirit. Four wedding and a funeral could be a good start.

2. Brainstorm your speech. Just write down everything you can think of, how you met, funny moments you’ve had, and things you have done together, and so on. Stories usually work really well in wedding speeches, just remember to keep it positive.

3. Now, edit your speech and put it into a good structure. This can take some time and you may feel like it never really gets perfect. A good idea could be to read your speech aloud to a trusted person, and get their thoughts about it.

4. Opening your speech with a joke can be a great way to put your audience into the right mood. You can also tell little jokes throughout your speech about groomsmen gifts, this is not essential, but a little humor is always a great way to keep your audience’s attention.

5. Do not talk about things like sex, religion, and politics. These topics can be offensive to some people, and are pretty much taboo in wedding speeches.

6. Make sure you know where all the people who are essential for your speech are seated, so that you can easily find them during your speech and make eye contact.

7. You could end your speech by saying that you are very happy for the married couple and their very nice groomsmen gifts, and that you look forward to many great moments together with them
